A ring. With Diamonds.
I created this model to test the Octane pmc kernel with a physically correct diamond material posted by andrian in the Octane forums.
The diamonds came from http://www.3dlapidary.com/.
I posted the wrong preview picture, sorry. As soon as I am able to, I will upload the correct preview.
@Matthew - thanks. This is what Blender as a community is all about. I learned from other people doing exactly what I have done. If there is anything you can learn from this, then it was worth posting. If you use it, do tell me (if you remember - there is no obligation, and you can do what you want with this model).
This a really good model you made there, good job. I made some render with Thea render here's one : https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-uX9Oxo4P_UE/TfrwzJ9-88I/AAAAAAAAGJk/t7dnXnXGGfo/s720/KKKKK.jpg
Wax, thanks for your comment, for downloading it and especially rendering it. Check out <a href="http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?221741-Diamond-ring" rel="nofollow">this thread</a> when you have a moment.
I checked. I've tried Octane render too. (As it's a 1/2 belgian product if I'm not wrong, and me too ;) I made some animation video some while ago (with some Dam, or a well) with it.
I'll check out the latest version for seeing what's have changed.
I've made some animation (and still rendering) with your marvelous ring.

I saw your renders - that's so cool. I really liked them. How did you do the sparkles?
Sadly, I don't have the time at the moment to do a turntable in Octane, but you never know!
The "sparkles" is just an render option of Thea. And it produce something like this. It's called "Glare" in the software.
Here's my 2 final animations in music, enjoy : <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq8UgbKMKUY" rel="nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq8UgbKMKUY</a>
