Modeled in Silo and Blender, starting with the default male base mesh provided in Silo and referencing the female proportion drawings in "Figure Drawing for All It's Worth" by Andrew Loomis.
-EdgeSplit modifier set to 21 degrees and used to emphasize important anatomical planes
-3512 tris (it was not designed for real-time optimization, though)
-Basic rig with IK feet and FK arms, however corrective shapekeys have not been created
-Simple lighting setup for use with Cycles
Please attribute this model to me if you use it in your work.
The smoothing groups are so obviously neglected it has to be stylistic choice? Can't really figure out why, but I think I like how it looks. :)
I added the smoothing groups modifier so that I could emphasize the important planes. It's set to automatically split the mesh wherever there is an angle greater than 21 degrees.
Just like she is, she is Wow. Cast in plaster, she'd be a fabulous base for sculpting, or cast in resin, a gorgeous figurine for modern decor. Lovely, thank you.
Hey, I'm interested in your model but I only intend to use it as pose reference, like this website >>> http://www.posemaniacs.com/ This website is great for poses but its limited on only what they already have.
But, my question is would I still have to but a creative commons to the works that I use the pose in. I just intend you use the model as reference and not redistribute it at all. I'll still credit you for model/pose reference.
How, btw, this model is absolutely beautiful. Has a strong Burne Hogarth feeling to it. :) lynntv.deviantart.com
I'm glad you are interested in using it!
Thanks for asking about the license. I use posemaniacs for drawing, and so I know what you are talking about. I don't care whether you apply the CC licence to your drawings, but that would be nice if you did credit me, as you mentioned.
Thank you AlexanderLee for a brilliant starter. Now I can practice a little easier.
AlexanderLee, I used your model for my video, I hope you do not mind http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpKkJASoZ5E
Thanks for letting me know! That actually looks pretty amazing; I haven't see a setup quite like that before.
why every time i have rendering this model and they only done by half of the body...?? im newbie here, so please tell me. thanks
You probably don't have the mirror modifier activated for rendering -- click the camera icon in the mirror modifier.
I love this rig so much. I made some anims with it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rI3EEUJdCM&feature=youtu.be
Hey man, I cannot get the Modifier's Tab. It's completely gone when I open this file, any help would be appreciated!
The stylistic choice of putting emphasis on the anatomical planes is amazing, darling. This is going to be incredibly helpful to myself and other artists who use it! I feel this is going to be my go-to model for much of the foreseeable future. Is there any intention of making a male to go with it?
Cycles render not working for me . blender 2.76 only half body rendered . Please help. http://i.imgur.com/5FXSSHm.jpg
Awesome model, I use it to check the scale of furniture/props and as a drawing aid. Thanks
Nice model, any chance we can get the male counter part? Was thinking about a couple sceene and would like the models to match. :D
Great model Alex ..... I would like to use your model for a personal project of mine. either as a sketch reference or as the model itself, depends on the outcome of my sketch :). hope to share the final image with you soon.
Thanks a lot. Was going to make one of these today. Saved me some time and money. Much appreciated and will note it when used. Thanks for the rig and render set up.
Well Its half good - so how do I get to render both halves of the modal
Hey, I've used this model for some personal works that I post on Instagram. So far I've been giving you credit just by saying your name, so I was wondering if you had an Instagram account or website you'd like me to put on it instead.
This is my account, in case you'd like a look: https://www.instagram.com/hannah_april_mccall/
Hi alexander, thanks for this great model. I'm creating am opensource motion capture project, in which i'm using your model to visualize the capture. http://chordata.cc
I love this rig! Do you think you'll ever add hand controls though?
Hey Alex, I used this model in the FITC Web Unleashed project. This was an unpaid, non-commercial project, but I made sure you got credit for that model!

Used this as a human-size reference in some experiments, just had to scale it down a bit. Really helpful model. Thank you!
Looks pretty cool, I'm gonna name her Britney, Buy her some flowers and see where this date goes.
Just kidding, good work, will give me a nice base to work off of. I will credit you if I use it.
This is a great model. Thank you for doing this. Still amazing 7 years later.
Thank you, needed a place holder figure/animation practice and this is perfect.
This is honestly one of my favorite female base meshes I've found thus far, especially being one that looks like an actual human (i think people will understand what I mean, just from how overly saturated the whole "LADY BASE THAT'S SUPER SEXY/OVEREXAGGERATED" thing is within any art sphere, unfortunately)
Great help for starters.Thanks
