These are two imaginary Bitcoins I rendered. A 1 and a 5 BTC denomination. All the features you see are geometry. I'm still quite new to blender so the models are a bit messy internally, but they look fine when rendered.
Besides to Bitcoin logo the coin design is my own. The side of the 1BTC coins are binary for "Bitcoin", and the art on the coin is supposed to symbolize the distributed network. The sides of the 5BTC read "Vires in Numeris" ("Strength in Numbers"), an unofficial Bticoin motto. The art on the coin symbolized the blockchain.

*Edit:
I noticed you can sometimes see the polygons on the 1BTC face if you zoom in close or the lighting changes. You can fix this by adding an edge-split modifier above the subsurface modifier of the coin.
Great job. But what am I missing? Each time I render one, he lighting makes it look very rough instead of smooth.
