Nothing comes up when I render - any ideas? Neither animation or render frame work for me. Love the drawn style...

    What an interesting blend!

I wondered why it was called "Constructor Lamp" when I clicked on it, then I found out :-)

This is a work of art. I love the camera animation, the way the scene constructs itself and I especially love the charming lamp character - and the the way he ends up looking at the piece of paper. You are a genius.

And the music is beautiful. I played it several times through and I keep playing it.

But like @andywillers, I was unable to work out how to render. Please let me in on the secret :-)

The VSE still has the rendered movie clip from the creator's hard drive in it, so you can't render it until you delete it from the VSE, but leave the audio track there and press render again. Nice job, and this is the first I have heard of the constructor modifier. Interesting.

I finally got a render of a still image of my chosen frame, which is 107, by going into the Render context menu and unticking Sequencer in the Post Processing section. I suppose that makes sense. The resulting render is very like @rambiert's preview image.

I also got a nice line drawing on a transparent background by unticking Compositing as well as Sequencer.

But I still can't render the animation. I opened the VSE window, deleted the video track as @kaki suggested and pressed Render Animation. The UV/Image Editor window just shows the transparent background. I then changed file format to png - the pngs were created but they were all blank.

I need more help, as I would very much like to know how to render this animation :-]

The artwork in the entire .blend file is very appealing.

I'm surprised it only has 6 likes as of this date.

Did you turn the compositor back on after you deleted the video clip? You need the compositor on for it to work, and the clip in the VSE will override the render, but it can't be found, so... I just deleted both tracks in the VSE, changed the output to PNG, and set a new directory and name to save to. It rendered for me. Watch on youtube Tutorial: Blender 3D #2 - Comic Composition and Node Groups. I think this render style is from this tutorial, a bit long winded but useful.
