Ok so apparently this is a fan art, here's the reference I used then.
Couldn't find nice shoes that you could animate anywhere so I made my own.Preview animation here.
Adjust color of the shoe by adjusting color of the "Color" material.
Model uses two HUGE textures (2048x2048). It's due to texture optimization. It works but I assume eat's up lots of memory. I advise you to lower the texture resolution if you don't need so much detail. Or you can bake the textures in a more efficient way.
Model contains 2 vertex groups that aren't perfectly weight painted but bend the model good enough, also you can always edit the weights as you like.
for me, its cool.... iam wondering how to make it, modeling, especially unwraping the texture....
Thanks, but not really. It has a really nice simple topology. I did spend some time on the textures though.
Hey if this is fan art can I remove logo from texture and use this model in commercial game?
I highly doubt Converse are going to care that a model inspired (not based on) one of their shoe is being used. It was some mod who marked this as a fan art. I honestly wouldn't care. I guess if you want to be safe, just replace the converse logo with anything else.
Just please, if you make something cool with my model, let me know! I'd love to see it.
Great job! I like the idea of add.png for sewing stitches. Did you make them by hand (2D or 3D) or used something faster? On this page, license is CC0, should be changed to CC-BY as attached version.
I modeled the stitches as little plane arrays following a curve. Then you can bake everything onto one texture. I could do a demo blend file if you wanted...
And why should it be CC-BY? Do fan arts have to be CC-BY?
Edit: Oooh, in the zip file there's still the old licence. I'll have to force blendswap to update it. Reupload of the .blend should be enough?
I updated the licence in the downloadable zip file. I hope that's what you meant.
Btw, I recently posted another shoe model, which uses more source textures, but is way better optimized, smaller in size and looks better when looking at it close-up. And I think it solves the stitches issue a bit more elegantly.
@Swift502 - the download on this gives me a 404! Can you re-upload?
You could've sold this thing..But ya didn't. Respect!
