These brushes are wonderful, thank you for uploading them DennisH! They also help me in understanding how I can create my own custom brushes.
Cool :) 'm Glad that it helps, hope more brushes will be uploaded on blendswap.
Um... I'm new to blender, and I can't figure out how to attach the brushes to Blender after downloading. Do you have any answers?
I made the brush out of an displacement map i made some time ago for a desert scene ;)
http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/67056
Just append the scene in to you blend file (File/Append/Dried Ground Brush/Scene) and than link your model you want to paint on in the scene (Object/Make Link/Object to Scene/Scene.001) then select the Scene.001.
I'd like to know this too. I'm having troubles with it after I've appended it.
I followed your instructions, but nothing happened. what else is there to do??
For anyone having trouble finding the brushes after appending, the brushes you append may be in different sculpt tool categories (clay, draw, blow, etc). Check fake user for the brushes to stay when you append and save a new startup file after this.
@DennisH2010: I see you have updated the blend file. What did you change?
Lovely effect, by the way.
I have deleted all the other brushes and i named the last brush "Dried Ground Brush", so it is easier to find.
Awesome brush...so simple, but of course with Dynamic Topo extremely powerful! thanks.
Thank you :) I'm glad you like it. The right setup for this simple brush is key ;)
Cheers mate, Will certainly find a use for the brush's Cheers mark117h
