Hi all. I have included here 18 metal materials, most of them are explained in my blog or in blender artist.
You can find: Aluminium, Brass, Copper, Stainless Steel, Anodized Metal, Silver, etc.
Enjoy them!
Yes, it was a test for a carpaint material, but when someone see it in blender artist said that it is good for "Anodized Metal". Anodizing is a process to get some metals has colors, for instance aluminium or steel. So I think it could be useful.
@DragonWhisperer Funny you mention that. I found this by looking for textures for an Iron Man render.
This is a nice job you've done elbru! I've been trying to make different types of metals in Blender (both Cycles and Internal Renderer), but none of the materials I've made look realistic. I'm certain I'll get my use out of this file often. ;)
It has been a long task to collect all these materials and I appreciate blendswapers like them
Well, it looks like the job was well with elbru. I need to go back and start doing more tutorials off of YouTube. If I remember, they have tutorials on metal materials in Blender (of course, my memory isn't the best...).
Thanks a lot. I highly appreciate your dedication in creating these materials. Good composition of materials should be bundled with or built-in into the Blender software.
I love that you are a materials wizard! I hope to one day be able to produce something of this caliber.
Thank you for this, I will be using this for a game, I will credit you,
Buen trabajo. Bye!
Thanks for the free materials and the tutorials from your blog (http://elbrujodelatribu.blogspot.be/)
Getting into the cycling render worlds.. and I am soooo glad I came across this. It will help in improving my materials. Thank You so much!
Thank you very much, i used your material in my latest work and loved the result. I'll put the .blend file on bledswap in a couple of days so you can see it if you want to :)
I used these materials to create this model here... thanks for the great pack!

You are welcome. Your models are amazing. It is an honor for me that such an awesome cg artist like you use them.
Excellent! I was puzzling over how to get a good brass finish, now I have one at my fingertips. Thank you!
Nice work~I really like your material tutorial, and I learn a lot from that. Thanks for sharing~
I saw your post on blend and I am working on a War Dwarf and I needed a metal kind off between brass and copper but could not nail the gloss , these should help me a lot, thanks, ill check out your blog , thanks again.
Im new to this and blender (hobby - during downtime at work). Correct me if im wrong with any of the following. THanks. ..I understood that I get the project file in the download. The project file is a tool/way for me to learn how to set up my own nodes this way. There is no easy 1-click material preset in this download. Blender doesn't support material presets.
You can download my blend file. Then in a blend file of your own go to File >> Append or File >> Link, select my blend file >> Material >> name of the material (for example Copper). Then that material will be added to your file. You can select it in the material list (properties >> material button >> browse material).
Thank you, but why is everythink pink if i render it ??! http://www.pic-upload.de/view-23305085/pink.jpg.html
Because you need to download the hdri file and set up the World settings (the path file in the environment node).
I couldn't do 0.000200080001101% of the work you just did, this is amazing thank you very much for sharing these textures
When I render the scene with cycles everything has a red tint to it. Am I forgetting something?
Never mind I figured it out. I didn't have the hdr set. Wonderful materials. I have not seen anybody set up metals quite as complex as you. Would you consider doing a tutorial on your method for creating metal? I tried to mimic your approach but with no luck. I am new to cycles and some of your nodes I don't recognize. You definitely have metals down.
Thank you @daddy3d , I have a blog where I post my tutorials: http://elbrujodelatribu.blogspot.com/ Also I usually post all of them in BlenderArtist in this thread: http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?278285-Yet-Another-Thread-about-Cycles-Materials I hope you like them.
Thanks for these great materials. Only problem, you didn't pack in the HDR, or even just give a link to it.
No, the HDR file is not included. You have to get it in that link.
Ok. I see it now. It was too unatatched from the rest of the text for me to see it. Thanks again!
Hi and thanks for the materials.
I'm new to Blender what is the best way to use materials in Blender so that I can have them available in all my new scenes?
Thanks!
How would I use them in Blender, I am kind of in the same boat as innderdream.
Just downloaded a few Material Packs - they look pretty sophisticated. Thank you for sharing :-)
i downloaded it but nothing is showing up :( i don't know what to do I'm new to this
did you ever figure this out I'm having a similar problem. My model just looks completely grayed out. I'm really new at this too.
The blend file provides materials and the scene that you see. You need to include the HDR image in the link of the description. Then you can render the scene as you see. Also you can import the materials from this file to your own blend file.
hey thanks so much. I just started with Blender and this will make my really basic models look so much better.
I don't see how this works at all. I have it downloaded but they are jpeg files. I can't use any of them with the Blender program.
I figured it out. I hate to say it but your website is confusing. Where do I find regular colours for blend? Where is that category.?
is there any similar to this available for "blender render"? I would appreciate it thank you! :)
Hi! These look really nice but how do I actually USE the materials? Like I'm in the material tab but where do I go to import the material and put it on an object?
Hi. You can check this link. There I explained how to append a material or node group in your blend file.
Thank you so much. I just started using blender and this is a great help for me.
Mil gracias! Algunos los he complementado usando vertex paint. Saludos
I don't need to use these right now but i wanted to tell you that the materials looks awesome and thank you for sharing your work.
When i see cool metallic materials like this i feel all funny and cooled out in good way. Thank you.
Thank you very much, just helped a friend for the viz of his wedding ring! :)
Thanks mate! saves me a lot of time and really gives a base to work from.
Hey, what you do for this community is awesome, thanks for your time, disposition, and good feelings :)
I'm drooling! Thanks so so so much for sharing! Can't wait to try all of these out! :D
hey man been messing with nodes for hours trying to make some of these to no success thank you so much for uploading them I'm new to blender and this is the kind of stuff i will learn a lot from so yeh thanks

Absolutely no idea what I do with them, but thank you very much :)
hey thanks for the materials, please can i change the stainless steel material from grey to black?
hey thanks for the materials, please can i change the stainless steel material from grey to black?
Hola! I really really really like these materials. I want to texture bake these materials but I cant because the nodes are in shaders. Is there a way I can texture bake these materials? Is it possible if you can make the materials with geometry nodes or send me a file or download? I would really appreciate it! I really love these materials and I don't want to use any other ones besides yours.
Hello, thanks for sharing, Can i use the materials for commercial in an addon with GPL license?
I like the one that looks a lot like iron man in the second row second from the left
