Wow! What a great model. The render has a great 1950's / early 60's look, both with the pale green background and the texture colours.
I found bits of info on vacuumland.org and other places and it is indeed from the sixties. Probably 1962-64. And most likely still in use in many homes. Apparently different countries were supplied with slight variations on the model. And also some were red and white and others red and cream. I never knew they would become collector's items. Which country is this one from? Do you own one? I saw from pictures that there could be a matching glass spray bottle with red lid for liquid cleaner or wax.
I remember my mum never vacuumed, she hoovered. We had a brown mottled sausage-shaped vacuum cleaner, so I imagine it must have been a Hoover. She used it until it broke completely, then we got a Hoover upright with a blue cloth cover and white casing. I left it behind when I moved in 1993. I'm in the UK.
