When the robot is completed, I will create a controllable version for the BGE.

Really neat, the whole robot must be a scary sort of monster.
Was it projection painted? (because thats how I do about all my textures and I'm finding it tedious and I wonder if there's a faster/easier way)
This time i not often used projection paint, just for some few little corrections in the end of the texture process, i prefer to bake the textures over the material to the objects uv, it is faster. first I've created two large basic textures 4096px, one for diffuse maps (metal) and one for spec maps (scratches). then I adjusted the material and baked it to the uv image.
This robotic arm is very inspiring. The detail you put into this arm really bring it to life. The video on vimeo shows more in depth.
http://studio.verold.com/projects/531f1e2c270dc902000005f4 just tested my robot arm on verold.com.
Incredible work! If I want to use these arms for my first person controller, what should I choose for the root node in unity?
This is great work I downloaded them and am now trying to import into jmonkey
Is there a way to make this work in cycles? And this is amazing! 385638/10
No idea why, but when I try and open it, my blender file is blank and the collections are greyed out.
You need to show it in the viewport first. To do that you must uncheck the "disable in viewport button" (it looks like a small tv logo) located in the filter on the top right corner
This is some incredible work we got here. I'm very interested in the game controllable version!
