This is the .blend file that was requested on Blender's facebook page. I hope this time it will be working.
It is an experiment to find a new way of building levels for games with a tileset : The word is "freedom" : you can rotate the tiles any way you want, and you can place them on a lot of different surfaces.
Cool.
Only one tile - the arch - in file.
Note: for spec map "intensity" to work turn both specular intensity and hardness in materials panel all the way down. Then you MUST uncheck "use alpha" under image sampling in texture panel. Then you will see the spec map controlling the intensity - also activate hardness influence to get full effect (or can be set in materials for global effect).
Otherwise you can leave out the spec map and just check box for spec colour influence in diffuse texture - not the same exactly. Just want to mention this because Blender seems to ALWAYS activate the "use alpha" which prevents the spec map to properly influence the specular intensity.
Thanks for the share.
Thanks for the tips and comments ! I'm quite impressed by the number of people who like this .blend ^^. I did not expect that much.
this is an interesting concept, i like it!
