Description:

One could think "Tiffany", but it's a modern industrial product only. The ornament was easily created as follows: - produce 64 faces subdividing a plane 3 times - Ctrl T gives 128 tris - subsurf twice Inspiration by considering the Dual Meshes of Alessandro Zepparelli - http://sketchesofcode.wordpress.com. Thanks to Juan José Torres for the Stippled Finishes - http://www.minimaexpresion.es and thanks to elbrujodelatribu for Metal Materials Pack for Cycles - http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/69793 (Kevlar). All textures by myself using Filter Forge (wood) and Gimp.

    A German blenderist gave me the good advice to add a cable protection and to thicken [the cable and] the cutout. That's why there is a second version now.
