To me the city scape looks rather flat and the lights look too uniform. I would expect to be able to pick out the odd skyscraper. I admit I haven't downloaded it yet, so I can't tell if the background is an image. Try a city lights image search for inspiration.
If I may make an alternative suggestion: a slightly crushed can on the bench, possibly catching a little glint of light from the moon or from a street lamp would give character as well as drawing the eye away from the lights.
Or if you're feeling adventurous, a CC Zero rigged character from elsewhere on Blender could be posed on the bench.
