How to distort a static image or an image sequence using the node editor and the sequencer
Please forgive my ignorance but I don't understand what you have done. I see the wave modifier on the plane but the Compositing Node Editor only has the defult nodes. Please could you explain?
Greets folks, thanx for your interest. If you render out a few stills and create a video file with audio, you'll get this effect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZfvM4FyLbs It's pretty self explanatory. AlI I did is import an image (using the import images as planes addon), subdivide the plane heavily, apply a wave modifier, make camera adjustments, and render out 22 frames. That's all really, but it gives an idea of what's possible when you combine different parts of blender to create effects not directly available in the sequencer :) BA thread: http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?314167-How-to-make-ripple-transition-aka-flashback
