This is a Blend I built back in 2006-2007 for a short film I was producing. It's based on the S-10 I owned at the time which would also be seen on camera. It's animated to flip end over end, as in the film a helicopter (which was actually a miniature) fires a rocket into the back of the S-10. This is the first and only model I've ever built, and I'm sure there are a lot of things that should have been done differently, but I was very pleased with the end result. If you're interested, you can see the scene where the model was used here.
Hey, just realized something. Shouldn't this be marked as fan art??? :( Just wondering. :)
I'm pretty sure fan art fits into the category of making something after a movie or tv show... Modelling a truck, (which can be made by different companies, it's not patented,) falls under fair use and can be used by anyone to sell. The model of a truck that is... If you put a brand name on it then it might be copyrighted and no longer fair use. So I see what you're saying. I personally suggest replacing the brand that is provided on the truck into something of your own design. Maybe even a parody of the product itself. I do stuff like that a lot...
Wow this car looks awesome real in the blender internal render, great work :)
Very nice work, with the model and video! hopefully I can learn some new techniques from your model. Thanks for sharing
Good model and very good video.
Out of curiosity, where did you get the Blender skills if this was your first and only model you ever built?
And why did you stop with only one model?
Thanks.
Honestly, I just needed the one model for my project and I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. I'd never built a 3D model before and only had a passing knowledge of 3D based on my work with Adobe After Effects, so I wanted to see if it was really possible to achieve a photo-realistic result with a free program.
Just a whole lot of tutorials and time. Spent about eight months on and off working on it.
Looks awesome in the video and preview pic, but there are some missing textures in the .blend and the render result is way different (way bad) from your preview. Didn't you pack the blend file?
Wow! That video is fantastic! Man, your future is in Hollywood! Do you know Motion Logic Studios? You should be in there, just send them this video. You don!t have to to work in an office, you can work from your home Great work!
i didnt think i would have to download this but blender crashed and i lost my truck and dont have time to make a new one luckily you put this for download, thanks
Awesome job. I tried to determine when you switch from the real truck to the 3D one and I can't. I am almost convinced that there was no real truck but then the actor leans on it and we can see him in the truck's reflections. Please enlighten me on the process. It wold be great if you would make a tutorial.
very nice truck and awesome use of it. thank you i am going to use this as a starting base for a mini truck design i have in mind It's mostly done, i would like to upload it to Blend Swap, but 1st i need to do some naming, cleaning up etc, you can see some renders here: https://zelozelos1.wixsite.com/home/s10
I have lots of respect for the work you put into the original, esp the video. If you had any objections please let me know.

Hey, Zelozelos. Thanks for the compliments. Nope, I have no objections at all. Uploaded the model for folks to do whatever they please with it, including modification and reupload. Sorry for the late response. Haven't logged in a quite a while.
