Description:

I made this as an accent for the Office scene that I have been working on. I liked how it looked that I decided to add more details and post it separately. It's done in cycles. Everything is parented and all of the individual objects are set to rotate as they should. The map in the picture is one that I made for my novel so it's not included in the blend. All textures are from plaintextures.com. Hope you like it. The environment image is from HDRIhub and is a free sample. Here is the link.

Hey blenderjunky, this item reminds me of the time beeing part of the navigation crew on a german warship a couple of years ago. Although it was just a retro object beeing used for training purposes.

    Thx for sharing.

It's a very ornate item. I can see why you fell in love with it. Very nicely modelled.

Thank you. I really like you work also. The glass and bridge are both stellar.

Did you do the brass base with the accents via a SVG import and then model from there? Excellent handywork either way.

Hey man thanks for the compliment. No, I modeled the entire thing in blender from scratch. Nothing was imported from an outside source. The colors and textures were added using the blender presets and some textures from plaintextures.com.

Your model here is published as CC-0, but in the downloaded file itself it states CC-BY-SA-NC – quite a difference. Whats the real license for this model?
