Description:

This is my second post. I tried to create a realistic coffee cup, following the tutorial of Oliver Villar with different shaders. I use the Andrew Price and Yves Perera 's tutorial about the texturing to get a quite good realistic floor.

This could be much better, specially regarding the coffee texture. I tried to use the brush but i didn't do anything. I don't know why? If you have any comments, feel free to give me some feedback.

Have a good blender day ;)

Although it's a good job, I think you could improve the liquid surface because it looks somehow flat. Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks. Appreciate your comment. You are totally right, I am gonna work on it again and I am gonna try to make the liquid more wavy

I really like the texture of the coffe , its very good :) Although I have to agree with oldtimer that it is somewhat flat . You could solve this by two ways : 1rst to change the position of the camera so it is not so visible

2nd given that this is made in blender 2.7 you can use sculpt mode and take advantage of Dynamic painting ; Just grab the " Blob " brush and play with it :)

I am not here to tell you how you can do your job I am just telling some ideas :D Again great job

Thanks for this. You are both right. At this time, that was my second try on blender. Now I think I would do it differently as I am more familiar with blender and all the different shaders and sculpt mode. I have just looked at my first blend, omg it was very crappy and useless ;) The good thing about blender is the huge helpfull community.

Hmm, why don't the textures load? They don't appear in the zip,

    Archive: 72915_Coffee_cup.zip inflating: caf+? avec brush 2.blend
    inflating: 72915 - Coffee cup - License.html
inflating: preview_72915.jpg ... but the file is looking for them:
