Description:

This is a model of an aston martin DBS. However the difference being that this one i slightly customised since i wasnt happy with the original. The model is very high poly. There are no moving parts. The interior is minimal as my focus was on the exterior and presentation techniques. For best results it is best to render at 1500 samples at subdivision level 2.By default the settings have been put to a minimum. The model is fully textured and has materials applied. Feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks!

thanks. The aston martin cars you see in red have their own unique palette of colour. Its completely different from a ferrari red so i really struggled to get a red that was unique for this brand. I didnt get it bang on right-but i hope i was close.

Nice model. I'd add two more render views from different angles. Good job.

    Hi redwind33556,

I see your images on CGCookie - and find your model here ;-). Look good - a little tip from me - make the mature imprint (wheel) with a texture. Your rendertime will be faster. I found little matching error (fender to door). Use the same edge on both. I can

thanks for your feedback. i think the reason you cant shift subsurf levels is cause i was using the simplify funtion in the scene TAB. by default i set the level to 0, thats why you possibly couldnt increase the subsurf levels. use the simplify function and increase the levels. I find the simplify function easy to use cause it subsurfs all meshes in one go rather than setting each individual part to a specific level. I hope this is what you meant. And.. thanks for spotting the error. Only a car fan would have noticed that :)

Thanks, the simplify function I did not know. I work with the Sub-div modifer (level 2) for viewing the smooth Surfaces. Your work is great. 5 Million faces are very strong for rendering - i hope you have a fast GPU nvidia card ;-).
