Description:

created this model for a game. its

has 7.25k tris and basic normal, spec, and diffuse maps.

most of the maps are 10241024 but there are a few that are 20482048

everything is linked to the handle of the gun.

    very nice work, but if you are planning on using this for a game i suggest creating something a little more low poly :)

    i totally feel you man. its pretty high poly, but the gun is going to take up almost a fourth of the screen in game so i kinda feel 7k is a reasonable poly count especially considering a bunch of newer computers can handle this x100 lol. you just gotta make sure to disable collision when in game. and take it easy on the advanced lighting... thanks for the input though, man. next model i make will be more user friendly:)

    Yes, a low poly version would be great, but for this detailed of a model, I'd say it's reasonable :) PS: I love your clever too!!! :D This too should be added to staff picks!!! :D

    Very true point, You can always remove faces that are always going to be hidden from the camera as well, anyway very nice work! Texturing is very well done, the wooden parts look seamless. Keep it up!

    Well, In terms of poly count these days, I know that the weapons in Battlefield are around 12k tris for most rifles. Lower is better, but higher quality games tend to have a higher poly count. LoD helps a lot.

    i got the file called 73088_AK-47_zip.zip. i opened that then i clicked on the blender symbol. it opened a black ak47. i put a light on it and it was white. i thought it was gonna be textured. is there something i need to do to make it be that. please tell me what im doing wrong if i am.
