I thought I share one of my low poly dragons with you. It has a short animation. I hope you like it !
just use your fantasy :-D dragon2.blend file is just a safe saving... dsplc.psd is the dsplc.tif file :-D - the final score is matter :-D
I think the double set of wings are cool. In fantasy, you can do whatever you want. :)
I've been looking for a good, free dragon for ages, and came across yours today. Works like a dream. When I get time, I will adjust the animation to add into the end of this video clip (https://vimeo.com/63453843) which desperately needs some proper climax. I have found the actor - just got to edit in the action!
Thanks for the sharing! Grant H
I have a problem when render, the dragon didn't move when I move the bones and insert keyframes and render the dragon keep static in al the render
it's graet, but i think, that it schouldn't go so much up and down, because when it would go down, the other pair of the wings is holding it.
Hi, I'm making a short film. could I please use this, with credit of course :) AMAZING work by the way!
The best free low poly dragon with CC-0 license too. I still don't know if my games need dragons, but if I need 1 I'll just use this one.
Nice model! I used it on a video presentation for a project at my school. You can see the video here if you want: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_zVz28DWBE
Can some1 please help, this dragon is only rendered in the rest position... whenever i animate him and move in pose mode it doesnt matter, he is still only rendered in the rest position...
I fixed the problem. Select the armature, go to edit mode, shift+d to duplicate all the bones, ctrl+p and separate bones. Now delete the first armature and parent the dragon to the new armature you duplicated from the first one. Hope this helped you bcs it drove me nuts...
No problem. Just dont want other ppl to get upset over the same thing i did bcs this dragon is a freaking artwork and and its a bumer not to use it :) The problem probably ocured bcs this is made with an older version of blender
This is so cool...Could we please use this in our Blender Project for our Youtube Intro? Will Credit back here in every video!
I love this model, but for some reason when exporting the animation, I only get 300 copies of the first frame. does anyone know why?
Ok first off I really like how this dragon is modeled but what I really like about this dragon model is the wings are 2 separate geometry, plus I like how the wings rig/bones are set up that also helps me a lot on how to model/rig a dragon wing the best and easy way possible thank you! <3
I like dragons and yours is a fine specimen. I really like its armour and silhouette.
There are three blends in the download: an animation plus dragon_1 and dragon_2. What is the difference between dragon_1 and dragon_1? Also, I couldn't find the dsplc.psd image.
Seeing that your dragon has two sets of wings, I did some research to see what I could find out. There is some discussion on the pros and cons of one and two sets of wings. The dragon results were interspersed with pages about the dragonfly insect, which has two sets of wings, but I believe it uses the rear set in a sideways motion to help it to hover more efficiently.
I couldn't find much on the motion of two sets of wings. What made you decide on the opposite movement of the wings? Lovely animation, by the way.
