This is a very basic Mantle Clock. All the textures are from plaintextures.com and are layered and packed into the blend file. It is done in cycles using 2.70 (Which I am getting used to using) and everything is parented where needed. Hope you like it. Happy blending.
(Update note; I am replacing the blend file with one that has a slightly refined wall texture. It is all exactly the same but for the size of the brick work on the wall.)
For those who have already downloaded it;* Set the size of image texture; x=2,y=2,z=3 Set the size of image texture.001; 1,1,1 Set the size of image texture.002; 3,3,3
Ya it's all good to use plaintextures.com. It's CGtextures that doesn't allow for redistribution.
I have been in direct contact with the administrator of plaintextures.com. He also has a profile here. The best benefit you can get from using the plaintextures site is to get a premium membership and it doesn't cost very much. Believe me it's worth it. If you have any questions about memberships and licencing best to speak to them directly. They allow for redistribution of textures. It was also recommended by this sites administrator that I use plaintextures and not CGtextures for licencing reasons. Look a the terms and conditions on plaintextures.com.

The first question and answer will answer your question.
(This is a fantastic site and one that should be given its due credit for providing a source for artists like those who use blender. I am an avid advocate for plaintextures.com and am quite confident that they have no issues with the use of their textures.)
What you can't do is download textures for the purpose of giving those textures to others claiming that they belong to you and that you have the rights to the textures for distribution. You can use them for your modeling purposes not to rape the site for its content. Hope this answers your question and happy blending.
Definitely, you'd got your personal style and that is good. As you do, I like very much realism. You are working hard looking for excellence. Mmmmm! In this case, I see a disproportion between the clock and the bricks (stones) of the wall. The clock looks giant. May be my imagination is deceiving me. Regards, artist.
I increased the size of the brick work of the wall. The second image is of the updated version. I actually liked it smaller which is common for fireplace brick to be small if the fireplace is the only place in the room that has the brick as an accent. I guess its a matter of taste. I do understand what you're saying however.
This one slipped me by, as always great attention to detail. Brilliant modelling and texturing.
Not bad! btw, are you sure it legal to redistribute plaintextures.com's textures? I understood you could not according to there licencing info. Hope I'm wrong, so I can use some. :)
