The Grumman F9F Panther was the manufacturer's first jet fighter and one of the United States Navy's first successful carrier-based jet fighters. A single-engined, straight-winged day fighter, it was fitted with an armament of four 20 mm (0.79 in) cannons and could carry a wide assortment of air-to-ground munitions. (Sources : Wikipedia)
Hey bmf,
Age is not important. But the memories and experience that accompanies it are more precious than gold :)

looks great you mind if I change the color of it to a more stealthy aircraft. I will give you credit.
Hi cma134,
I see no problem :) My designs are here for all to enjoy. Have fun. And thank you for the credits :) Another queries, if it is not too much to ask ... Can you send me pictures of the result .... I'm curious...
And maybe the texture will join the "Liveries" folder of the FlightGear version :)
Regards Emmanuel
Hi Justkvl,

Helijah,
Nice work on the F9F Panther. I'm old enough to remember seeing this aircraft when it was operational during the Korean War along with other classics such as the F-80, F-86, the F-2 Banshee, etc.
It makes me feel old to think I knew them all when they were the cutting edge of aircraft technology coming off the assembly lines; I remember when they were all obsolete by 1960.
But then again, the ageless B-52 is still around, which my father began to fly in 1960 after he transitioned from the B-47. The B-52 may still be around long after I die of old age.
Take care.
Good memories.
