Here are just a few of the vast number of Line Styles that Freestyle can produce.
You'll learn how they are done through the course that the http://www.blendernpr.org team has been producing.
A demo video can be found here:
Hairy man uses 2 line sets (3. OutsideSil & 3. InsideECDotted)
Yes freestyle can be used along side other renderers, including external renderers.
Price will be announced soon (will not be expensive), course will be released sometime next week.
There is a giveaway event now, entries are few, so chance to win is high.
Went back to [blendernpr.org] (http://blendernpr.org/bnprs-freestyle-level-up-giveaway/) to see the entries for the giveaway. Only found one ("salon-ligne claire" office scene), couldn't see the link to the gallery.
I might try to make a greenhouse scene with plants but there isn't long until the deadline, as I didn't know about the competition.
The links on the tutorial page are really promising. I love all the examples linked from the "Inking & Watercolor Effects with Blender" page. They are beautifully done. There is something so magic about them. Especially the colours on the first drum kit.
Line set or line selection is unique and mesh dependent, therefore it cannot be exported to another file, render layer dependent too. But you can import line styles, line styles are datablocks unique by themselves.
Great blend! Had fun playing with the settings. The demo video was cool and very well done. I especially liked the little descriptions under each title.
I'd like to know what the settings for "Hairy Man" are ... he was the cutest.
Freestyle is well worth spending time on. If you prefer Cycles you can always combine that with Blender Internal by compositing a scene with BI on one layer and Cycles on another layer.
How much are you thinking of setting the price for BNPR's Freestyle Level Up course?
