Hola amigos!
Comenten!
Suerte con todo y buen renderizado!
Juan Ignacio

Hello my friends!
I modeled this mannequin for a job i'm doing in which realism plays a huge roll. That's why I spend a lot of time recreating the wood material. I used as reference, the same mannequin (a real one) that belongs to a friend of mine.
This .blend file contains only two textures, one for the diffuse color and the others plays as specular mask. I also experimented with some procedural dust material but, as I said, it's only experimental and you can deactivate it whenever you want.
It's completely rigged with IK & FK chains ready for animation. Some elbow movements are limited but i'm sure you'll figure it out how to make it work.
I hope you like this model and I also hope that you find it usefull. Please, if you use this model, give credit and send me a link just to see how awesome you are.
Please comment!
Good luck with everything and happy blending!
Juan Ignacio
True that! But the .blend file has the default pose in it, although, You can recreate that pose in a few minutes. Hope you like it and find it usefull. Happy blending
Downloading, will try it out maybe try and teach myself some animation.
It seems the bones are not deforming the mesh. I'm using Blender 2.71.
Maybe you are using the wrong chain. This model has two different leg & arm chains of bones. One is IK and the other FK. In this .blend file, the uploaded model will deform if you move the FK bones. You can change from chain to chain going to the bone constraint panel and adjusting the factor value. If you find this explanation confusing to you, you can always wath a tutorial on youtube on how to rig and use the armatures in Blender; there are plenty of those videos. Hope this answers to your question. If more of this troubles keep coming i will create some drivers and chain-switch-controls to keep the armature user-friendly.
Juan Ignacio
gracias loco.. lo necesitaba para modelo de dibujo jaja me quice hacer uno yo pero siempre hacia mal el mesh y no me salia poner bien las articulaciones
Thank you very much. I'm gonna start learning animation using this! :) Great work :)
New IK-FK switchers were added today! They are cotroled by drivers and they are simple control bars that you can move from side to side. I hope that everybody find this usefull. Good luck.
Excelente modelo! Tengo pensado usarlo para practicar traking y FX, cuando tenga un video (si es que lo termino) te paso el link
Hola! Usalo para lo que se te cante jajaj. Tengo que arreglarle un mont
I am an absolute blender-beginner. I don't want to do anything special, I just want images of such a mannequin in different poses and thought that blender and your model might be easiest for that. But I have no idea how to actually manipulate the model or even what Tutorial to google to get a start here, blender appears to need a lot of specific knowledge to use
I modified the armature so you can reverse-paste the poses. This is essential for animation purposes.
Perfect for practice animation, the mesh it's very light and the model extremly beatyfull. Thanks for sharing :p
i'm glad it worked for you :) i'm looking foward to see some amazing animations with this model.
Thank you for the beautiful mannequin! I'm totally new to Blender and learning to pose things with it, and it seems that the arms behave differently from the hands. When I move a hand, the whole arm moves, but when I select and try to move a single arm bone, this happens: http://imgur.com/B2AvRO9
I saw your comment about IK-FK switches but did not see anything like that in the interface.
I'll update this if I find a fix for the arms not moving :)
Hello edunham! The default set of the armature when you open the .blend is IK. This means that you can move the hole arm just by grabbing the hand and moving-rotating it around. This, in some cases, is a huge timesaver for the animator because he doesn't have to move each bone at a time. The other option is FK. This gives the animator full control over the armature. In the image you uploaded, the selected bone is part of the FK chain, but default being IK, you must switch the chains. Pay attention to the two sliders at the right of the image. "Brazos" stand for "Arms" and "Piernas" stands for "Legs". Underneath, there are two bars that are locked in that position with a slider that is able to move in the x axis. If you move the slider on the x axis until it reaches "FK" you will be able to control the bone that is selected on the image therefore the hole FK chain. I hope i made myself clear about this problem because I know it's someway confusing at first. Have a good animation. Juan Ignacio
You can hide the FK or the IK chain by just going to the armature properties and unticking or deselecting the layer where the chain is. You'll have to look for the right layer beacuse I don't remeber where i put them.
This solves my problem! I was thinking in English and disregarded the sliders, but when I move them over to FK mode, everything works perfectly! Thank you so much for your time in helping me answer this silly novice question.
Hello ! I used your mannequin for my lastest image. You can see it here
Thanks for this model.
Thanks for the great model! I'm trying to learn animation and this works perfectly.
Imma see if i can use this as a drawing mannequin, good job!
It crashes my app I got blender and needed a manni to work with but i Try to Load it and Boom It crashes
Thank you so much for this model. It's exactly what I was looking for and am slowly (with much frustration) figuring out how to pose it (very new to blender) One question. When I pose some parts in IK and then go to switch to FK it will undo the IK pose I had done... so I wanted to do major pose in ik and then tweak in fk... but it doesn't seem to let me.
any chance someone could do a basics of posing woody tutorial video? :) in any case, thanks again.
Thanks for the models! I made a video with him and woody girl: https://youtu.be/QYNK8fDkL_k
How do i open this file? It just seems to open in firefox all the time
This is a bad file. It looks like the author uploaded to another hosting service and then tried to CTRL-S it to somewhere else. If I open it in a web browser as an HTML file should be, it crashes. If I try to remove the .html extension, it doesn't open.
Awesome rig, and very quick render with your file. Although I will say, the elbow orbit is a bit tough to deal with, because it's also controlled by the hand orbit, but it was still easy to figure out. Anyway, I might reuse this rig for other practice runs.
The whole rigging is awesome! You did a great job there!! Love it!
Nahhh this rig is too clean!!!, tysm you're helping me easily compose my character's movements!:)
The color of this pink palm puff hoodie is just what I was looking for.
