Rigging by me using Rigify addon.
This is really nice...... ;) I like it a lot :D I think you should properly render it....... But the modeling quality is very nice ;)
Thanks for setting it up, but this rig is rediculously slow! 1.1 fps with an i7 and gtx 570.
I believe it's mostly because everything is done through weights, even though bones are (basically) rigid and shouldn't allow any deformation.
There's no reason this rig shouldn't run at 24 fps at least if you rig it using only parenting and some constraints.
The reason of the rig going slow is that the original model is very high poly. wich is not my fault as I didn't model it. I have created a low poly model for animation, so I can use the high-poly model only for rendering. I am trying to reduce the polygons amount in the original model, I will upload a new version when it will be ready.
The hands and feet are a bit over-done, but otherwise it's not high poly at all.
If the slow response of posing is bothering you, set the View Subdivisions of the Subsurf modifier to zero. It will still render nicely based on the Render Subdivisions, but you won't see the subsurf in the viewport. Rig response should speed up nicely.
Very cool!, thanks Shachar, very useful for learning human anatomy.
Making an indie game. This is exactly what I was looking for. What name do you want to be credited under?
I'm noticing a weird thing, in pose mode the legs disappears, as in the feet look directly connected to the hips. In object mode, edit mode, and rest position it looks fine.
I have that problem too but both for pose and object mode. Only in edit mode is the whole thing visible.
I had this same issue. It has something to do with the drivers I think. If you go to the File tab in User Preferences and check the box that says "Auto Run Python Scripts" it should work. you'll have to reopen the file I think.
It seems there's some reversed normals (forearms, on the skull too i think) a ctrl-N clears it up
It's soooo much easier to rig an object when you can see its bones
am i the only one who downloaded this and the feet are attatched to the hips with the legs and arms nowhere to be seen?
env Answered this issue a few months ago and a few comments up: I had this same issue. It has something to do with the drivers I think. If you go to the File tab in User Preferences and check the box that says "Auto Run Python Scripts" it should work. you'll have to reopen the file I think.
Where can I get just the rigging itself and not the model? I've looked around and seen a lot of models using this style rig but can't find much info online. I think I'm just not looking in the right places. Halp?
Now I know I'm a noob at using blender and I think it's a great job doing the skeleton! I only have one question, Why does it seem to be missing arms and hands? If someone could let me know I'd Appreciate it!
Kind of new to BlendSwap, but how do you properly import this? When I import the group, "HumanSkeleton," i get a crouched up skeleton without a working rig. At the top of Blender, it says "Auto-Run Disabled". How do I run the scripts and get the rig working? Thanks in advance!
I solved the problem. In User Preferences, I simply checked the box, "Run Python Scripts." Then, I appended the asset and it worked fine.
I've been wanting to use this rig as a reference in my art, but I have a problem. The rig crashes when I right click on any of the pose bones. It won't crash when I don't have the skeleton showing, but it still doesn't move the skeleton when I move the bones. Can anyone help me with this?
Hey! this looks awesome! but i have a question about legal things. I would like to use just the Ribcage in the background of a still image and post it on artstation. How much Credit do you want for that?
nice skeleton, but this is has serious performance issues, I don't know how you managed to make this ONE SINGLE CHARACTER setup, cause my computer run like poop. you should really fix it and re-upload, this is very bad.
I think this must need updating for Blender 2.82. It is slow to none responsive. Warning: class POSE_OT_rigify_leg_ik2fk_4hict1lh99e13e35 contains a property which should be an annotation! Yup crashed even.
Guys, make sure to set the View Subdivisions of the Subsurf modifier to zero. This will make the model smooth even in 2.82. You can find this option by selecting the model. Than by the properties panel (the right side of your screen if all is set to default) go to the modifier properties (the little blue wrench). Than you should see viewport(version 2.82) or view (earlier). If you set that setting to 0 you should see drastic improvement. If the model is still laggy just set the render and quality settings in the same pannel to low. Make sure to set them too high when you are done modeling. If it is not clear you can check the photo I made: https://ibb.co/0cWdc0z good luck!
TYSM this worked fine for me as a total newb, ILY! I used it to make this character art: https://www.tumblr.com/koibish/713064557234503680?source=share
this is an informative post and it is very beneficial and knowledgeable mario games
I've been wanting to utilize this rig in my artwork as a reference, but there's a catch for my review project Gamblorium Nederland When I right click on any of the pose bones, the rig crashes. When the skeleton is hidden, it won't crash, but moving the bones doesn't cause the skeleton to move.
This is so relevant to bobs clothing what I’m currently working on, thank you for sharing.
Nice, Just looking for something like this. Thanks :D
