Pipe and fittings

Do you need a high quality piping system for your plant? If so then here is a collection of schedule 40 welded pipe and fittings in nominal 4, 6 and 8 inch sizes. The collection includes weld neck flanges, 90 degree long radius elbows, straight tees, reducers, spool pieces, resilient seated butterfly valves, ring style flange gaskets, bolt and stud sets, idealized weld beads and a simple clevis hanger.

All of the fittings and spools are accurately dimensioned (including weld bevels) but have no interiors. Flange dimensions were taken from the Texas Flange product catalog version 4.01. Fitting dimensions were taken from the 63^rd edition of the Weldbend catalog. The 8 in butterfly valve was based on the lug style Keystone Fig 222 series. The 6 and 4 in valves were based on the Keystone wafer style GRW series. The operators for these valves were created from .stp files converted to .stl files in FreeCAD then modified in Blender to change all tris to quads. Valve dimensions and .stp files are available on the Pentair.com web site. Dimensions for the clevis hanger were obtained from the Anvil Corp web site.

Do not use gaskets with these butterfly valves.

The piping was supposed to be stainless steel but the dimensions of the fittings and valves would not change if the material was carbon steel.

The file is set up for an 8000 samples “Progressive Refine” Cycles render at 1920x1200 and takes about one hour 20 minutes to GPU render (EVGA Ti780SC) on my computer.
