This is great, Bob - it reminds me of the maize mazes at Tully's Farm in Sussex (South East UK) not far from where I live. Every year they have a different design, open to visitors to walk around, with bridges and other things. It's fun to go round in a party. I think they wait until the maize is grown and then carve the design: pirate ship, dragon, owl, etc.
