This is a blender model I created on the iPhone 6. I could only work from the reference images from the Apple site, hence I cannot refer to any actual reference I had in my hand. This is fan art – all brands, designs etc. of the iPhone are copyright by Apple, they again created a really nice piece of hardware. One comment: The original iPhone has rounded edges for the highlight stripes, but I used meshed based shading rather than texture, hence mine are sharp. I hope you like the model and can use it in your work. Happy blending!
Attention: In some cases the rotation of the model using the master empty can result in seldom artifacts of the screen plate on the body, I assume this is because the accuracy of the parented rotation will be a tiny amount different for the plate and the body. If you encounter this, please move the screenplate up on its local Z axis; eg. by selecting it and pressing G-ZZ-0.0001 and this should immediately solve your issue. Happy blending and enjoy the model. Thx for Starvision for reporting this and proving the fix.
Absolutely - add a lattice and a lattice modifier and that should do the trick. ;-). See the blendnation post, someone already "fixed" it ;-)
Brilliant! Your material nodes are soooo organized. Lots to learn from!
Thanks you.... :)
