Something I made as an exercise last night. I was thinking another grenade concept but it would make a cool robot/cyborg eye too :) I've never done retopo within Blender (usually 3dCoat) so I wanted to wrap my head around it and quit relying on other software. It's not a bad workflow once you get all your hotkeys down. Original sculpt was around 2 million faces. This one is about 1200 faces. While I could have just reshaped a polysphere I went ahead and did a retopo then smoothed my mesh out with a modifier after getting it as smooth as I could by hand. Baked my Normals and Occlusion with X-Normal because I'm still not happy with Blenders baking. Did my color and texturing in PS. Cycles render. Hope you like it :)
I'll probably round out the front of the mesh a smidge when I get a chance. If you have a good eye you can see it's a little warped. It's bugging me :)
