I am not responsible for the design of this device :) And then in the 30's the aerodynamics was not always a priority for civil aircraft (P-38 was a military :))

There seems to something wrong on wing with the border between the metal and the rubber!? Their placement of the antenna is ugly (from an aerodynamic point of view). Lockheed P-38 does not have one...
