Due to a request, the textures in this file are small (2000x1000) to lower the file size; you can get the original textures here. You can download the .blend with the fulsize textures packed into it here.
I have been working on this Earth for a while, It has a very nice Volumetric atmosphere, but it takes a while to render. If you want faster render times you can just exlude the layer with the volume atmosphere and add an atmosphere in the compositor. As is there is no compositing ( I love that it looks so awesome (at least I think it is awesome) without any compositing).
The textures are Nasa If you want to use this in something you will have to give credit to NASA, I don't care if you credit the author of the blend (me). I'm kinda confused by the licensing thing, I don't think you have to distibute works using this with the same license, you might want to look at NASA's website to make sure http://visibleearth.nasa.gov/useterms.php, I think you just have to credit NASA.
Many thanks to the Blenderartist Folks that helped me make the Volumetric Atmosphere!
Thanks :) I might include small textures and then give a link for big ones. Although I don't see a difference between downloading the textures separately vs packed into the blend.
I said that because someone might hesitate to download a 61 MB file on a free account, like me!
Ok, I resized the textures included are now small, and I have a link to the big ones.
Texture cloud8192.jpg is still too big (13MB) compared to summer earth.jpg (258KB). ^_^
WARNING: Switching the viewport shading to material freezes Blender 2.79 and will take like 10 minutes!
Thanks for sharing, your great efforts are appreciated, from all accounts I am sure. :)
Hey, very nice model! We used it briefly in our elementary school drama club film here: https://youtu.be/gkb7XhFW410
Thank you for sharing! Your efforts are greatly appreciated. Delta Executor is currently one of the most popular Roblox executors.
Great. :) However, I think it would be nice if you put the textures as a separate file or just give the links from where textures can be downloaded because the size of your blend is little big considering its just one planet.
