A pack of realistic clouds I made for the Blender Cycles engine. Feel free to use for anything, with a little credit please, though...
Make sure to use the Cycles render when importing. Clouds are packed into a group for easy importing.
A tutorial video on how to make these (not made by me): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90wsacQJJoo
Thank you. To fix this problem, add a sunlight pointing up at the bottom of the clouds at a maybe lesser setting that the top-down one. This should make them less dark at the bottom.
You can connect the volume scatter to a mix shader, then mix the volume scatter with a transparent shader connected to a voronoi texture as the color and connect the voronoi to a color ramp. tweak the color ramp as needed
Thanks. very simple and very effective render time is also very less.
It's hard to get good looking clouds in blender, you did pretty good, but whenever I see clouds they always look way to dark on the bottom...
