Great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias)
video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkFnpZ8esOs&feature=youtu.be
My first take on a fish and an underwater scene :)
I got inspired by sharks after playing a new wonderful game called depth. I made this to practice modeling, materials and scenes.
I really wanted to emphasise the size potential of this creature. Great white sharks have a great deal of variation when it comes to the skin tone. As reference i choosed to use a dark shark with a very distinct black/white border.. because those specimens look cool and iconic in my opinion :)
Model has a simple armature, and should be fully functional for further rigging.
There were some realizations after the texturing that some minor mistakes in the modeling phase were made: nose shape, pointiness of the front fins etc. (these have been cleaned up with shape keys, so no problem!)
The white in its left eye is a scar ;)
I hope you like it =)

I downloaded the file and rendered it but the scene looked so different and it was all a light blue. I don't know how link a photo but I do have a render. Was there external editing to the render or was this a different file? I just want to know because your caustics and water looks so good that I want to know how you did it and the file supplied doesn't show me how.
Try turning down the strength on the emission plane as a starting point....
Honestly, this is the most realistic Blend I have ever seen. You've got mad skills bro!
Really awesome Great White Shark. I am requesting your permission to use it for a personal project. Do I have your permission sir?
Amazing!!
