Funny cartoon character with a great rig! Still learning Blender, this upload is very useful for me Thanks a lot for sharing
Another excellent rig from Charletto (Wasip is just marvelous), and yep, I love this one too ! Very easy and intuitive to use, with instantaneous results you can be proud of ;-) You're a genious in rigging, man, you have the sense of the animator, keeping the things straits and clear, all the manipulators are clear and obvious, with intelligent limits, so that you cannot break anything during an exagarated mouvement. The shape of that little fellow was not really appealing to me at first sight, but then I downloaded it and started to play with it and it's a lot of fun to use, very expressive with those big eyes and mouth ! Please keep up this excellent work, I'm eagerly awaiting your future rigs, if you post some new ones !
Again, thanks a lot for your comment, Alex. I'm not a professional rigger, actually I consider myself more as an animator but sometimes, when I have some spare time, I find it fun to create these simple characters. Again, I'm very pleased that you liked it. :)
When I open it in blender he is missing his legs. Can you please help?
If you pay attention you'll see a "reload" button at the top of the Blender window, click this to reload the rig's scripts.
I am not an artist or 3d engineer; but I think this is a great work. Congrats!
When exporting it seems to put the model in rest position rather than poses set in the action editor. I tested by exporting the model with animation and then re-importing that fbx into a new blender project, and it imports the actions in the action editor but there is no animation, just stuck in rest position. I also noticed that after exporting it places the armature in rest position. Any way to fix this?
If you experience issues when loading this rig just turn on "auto-run python scripts" in the user preferences. I completely broke for me until I allowed it to run the included rig script.
