Description:

This is a cycles procedural material designed to accuratley replicate the thread count for a tartan pattern. Please note that this material does require objects to be UV unwrapped. This file contains 2 materials, 2 scenes, 20 preset tartan patterns in the form of node groups and a packed Read me.txt. The read me file contains an explanation of the tartan pattern, some usage tips and explanations for the materials functions. Please read it.

@NDOX, sorry I forgot to post back regarding your issue, I did look into it back then. I believe the issue arises from a limit on the number of nodes an Eevee material ( and therefore LookDev) can use and this material blasts past that limit so no way around it I think.
