The Heinkel He 280 was the first turbojet-powered fighter aircraft in the world. It was inspired by Ernst Heinkel's emphasis on research into high-speed flight and built on the company's experience with the He 178 jet prototype. (Source Wikipedia)
Hey ericblender,
I have : Hughes H4 Hercules (Wingspan 97 m), Do X (12 engines), Ant 20, Latécoère 631, Latécoère 523, Convair B36D, Caspien Sea Monster, Kalinin K7, Bristol 167 Brabazon, Heinkel He 111 Z, Sanders Roe Princess, Junkers Ju 390.. etc...
These models are not very small :) There are even the greatest of all .... The H4 Hercules :). By cons there are few modern aircraft I confess. Just because modern aircraft are boring to model. Too simple. Far too simple. Even an A380 does not present a challenge against the Dornier Do X, for example.

I suppose they are less work to make than big bullies? He's made a Bréguet Deux-Ponts somewhere, so that's no argument =) Just let him carry on, every one of them is more than nice, big or small :-)
Nice one there from Helijah...and by the way if I would ask, why do you have a very strong passion for small and light aircraft? You always upload them..... :)
