Description:

With the Starwars saga rebooted, I just had to create a lightsaber after watching it. Fantastic movie. This is the lightsaber I created following some tutorials on Youtube by CG Geek. It is rendered with cycles. One unorthodox feature on the lightsaber as the inner portion of the handles are lighted up.

The lightsaber may look used due to the relatively new function of pointiness in geometry at the node editor. Its value is customizable along with some of the settings for the lighting, diffusion, roughness on the materials.

Hopefully, it look realistic enough. :D

You can turn up the sample count for the render under sampling in the scene (camera) in the tool bar. That is how you do it in cycles render and since i never use blender render i cant tell you how in there.
