A detailed model of a human male skeleton. It took quite a bit of effort and time to model and it's just sitting in my harddrive now. So... here you go. CC0 - use it as you wish :)
EXCELLENT MODEL! god topology Here is a very nice skull to add to them bones. http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/21995
How do i Append it? Sorry, its because i normally use the minecraft one.
I share these freely in hope that they are useful for someone who is enthusiastic about 3d or work with it and might find this time saving. I am afraid if you are unable to figure out things as simple and basic as this, this model is simply not intended for you. I do not mean to offend you, but please understand my frustration. I spent hundreds of hours modeling this in order to give it to you for free - surely, you can dedicate a few minutes of your time to google how to use it.
or you could just be polite and drop the attitude, hes new and wants to learn the basic importing. he could be good at animation but does not know how to import
your time is not important to us, the model is
It was not about my time. I have seen people being new to 3d. I was new as well. My comment is not entirely based on my feelings, emotions or attitude. I meant what I said. Newbies should be prepared to put some effort into what they do. I share my work in hope it will be useful to people who are serious about what they do. Nothing wrong with that, is there? I see you have shared 0 models. Let's make a deal. When you share as many models as I did, tell me what attitude I should have and I will put all my effort to reframe my way of thinking and change myself according to your advice.
I think you're right Thanks by the way for sharing your awesome model!
Yeah, drop the attitude. Your model is not the best out there, surely there are better ones. Therefore, don't show off too much when people ask for help.
Just FYI, your model doesn't even work. And by the way, we didn't beg you to share models. Therefore, don't show off about how much time you put into it. If you don't like making models, then don't make them. We don't care. Also, don't use your hard work as an excuse to be mean to others when they ask for help.
Hi amazing model!
One question is this accurate in terms of human anatomy? can i use it as a reference model for skeletical anatomy of humans?
thanks in advance.
Again amazing job!
Hi. Thanks, I am glad you like it. Well... yes, the idea was to replicate human skeleton as accurately as I could. All the bones are there, some of them are based on MRI scans, so some are really accurate. But I cannot guarantee that absolutely all parts of all bones are accurate.
Got this (along with a bunch of other CC-0 stuff) not really knowing what to do with it. Well, the bones are great for Dark Souls bonfires!
I'm working on a project where I have to show the human pelvis. This is a fantastic model. Just what I needed. Thank you for making it CC Zero.... so much more freedom! I really appreciate your gift.
Thank you! I am really glad to hear that! I know how nice it is to find something here that you can just copy and paste into your scene and that is it in like 20 seconds :). So I am glad to hear my models are like that to someone else.
Had a lot of fun with this model. Decided to rig it using the human meta-rig. Discovered real fast that I needed to join a lot of the mesh accordingly and I removed all the subsurf modifiers. Computer crashed when removing the subsurf modifier on left tip of middle finger for some reason. Deleted it and duplicated another finger tip which solved the problem. Added new subsurf modifiers and set to 0 for view and 2 for render which allowed me to load BVH files. I liked the fact that I could rotate the jaw which looks cool in an animation. Great Job and thank you for your work!
MZiemys, thank you so much for this Skeleton. I was just thinking, I need to start modeling one. Now I can concentrate on other parts of the scene. Much appreciated.
can you make tutorial for this model, please? I need it for my final exam project... thank you
I am sorry, but not really. :D I can tell you that the main job here is looking for good reference. That's the hardest part by far.
change subdivision viewport in simplify then blender turn off
Thank you for this model. When I tried appending it in 2.83.5 it caused a crash, so I appended one object at a time until I found a single finger bone with what appears to be corrupted data. With your permission, I'd like to republish a working version.
Would be nice to have the new version because of that error I am unable to load the skeleton in 2.83.5
First of thanks for this great model :)
For anyone else who might run into issues importing in blender 2.9+ I managed to load the model fine by appending all meshes except for bone number 113 (mesh titled "untitled.113"), hopefully this can save you some time.
Wow, that's some great topology. A lot of effort went into this for sure.
Hello MZeimys and everyone in the chat forum. Great model. The bone in the model that Worldsday pointed out is the Sinistre-Distal-Phalang. If you need to open this model, you find your trusty append-scalpel, and do a hand operation to this skin-less skeleton. There is no anesthesiac needed for this procedure. Make a small section between the medial and distal phalangs on the left hand. The skeleton would should not feel much at this point. Remove. Estimated time for this procedure 2 minutes. the skeleton patient would not need recovery.
Is anybody having issues opening this file in Blender 3.0?
EDIT: So I've tried appending the project one object at a time and there is an issue with the object named Bones.113 For some reason all versions of blender crash because of this one object. Other than that, everything is perfect. Thank you for this beautiful work!
Nice model, and thank you for releasing it as CC0!
Like many people here, I had trouble opening it with any Blender version... Besides 2.79b.
But once you have it open in 2.79b, per MJeeli's ID of Bones.113, the bad mesh... You can Apply the Subsurf modifier on the mesh, re-save it, and then append all the bone meshes or directly open the .blend file in a more current Blender version.
Thanks a lot for sharing !
