Written January 07, 2026Frankly, I enjoyed examining this model much more than I expected. It is a work that seems simple at first glance, but as you delve into the details, you feel that there is a serious thought and design approach behind it. The “Tablet-PC + Calculator” idea is very creative and especially combining it with futuristic lines takes the model from ordinary fan art to the level of concept design. The form factor is really successful. It is neither purely a tablet nor a classic calculator; It feels like a unique device that is in between the two, but carries traces of both. Striking this balance is not easy, and it is achieved very well here. Edge transitions, key placement and overall proportions are unobtrusive; On the contrary, it seems natural and logical. This shows that the model was designed as if it were a real product, not just for visual purposes.
The use of Cycles rendering and lighting preferences also contributed significantly to the model. The materials are clean and legible, without being overdone. Especially the simplicity on the surfaces further strengthens the futuristic theme. I think achieving this effect without being overwhelmed by complex shaders is another plus. It is also admirable that it was made as a school project.
