An accurate welded pipe and fitting assembly including a Fisher cage guided control valve and pneumatic actuator, Keystone manual butterfly valves , Rosemount differential pressure transmitter, orifice plate, pipe guides and anchors, and bellows expansion joints. This is a high poly blend with very simple materials. The background was removed because of license restrictions.
DaedalJS thanks for the compliments. Your comments re high poly count are oh so true with respect to this model. The model was actually done some time ago when I had the (bad) habit of applying all modifiers. One day while working on another model, I decided to see what the difference in file size would be if I saved the blend file twice: once without applying modifiers and once with applied modifiers. That's when the light bulb turned on. Files with unapplied modifiers appear to save with much smaller file sizes. Alas, this piping model was not saved with that particular wisdom.
Each object in the model was intended to be detailed enough so that it could be appended to another model. For that reason I didn't attempt to reduce the poly count for far away objects.
Don't understand any of the coment made just liked it keep up the good work
quite nice. i can't exactly say there's wasted polycount on this as what you've got rounds it all off nicely without having extra polycount where you don't need it but i think i'd have liked a bit of a trade off and had some of the roundness of the parts be added in from a subsurf modifier even though it would have added extra polycount where you didn't really need it just so the subsurf could be turned down if the parts were going to be viewed farther away where this level of detail and polycount is wasted.
regardless of my preferences this is a very nice model.
