May 5, 1961 - Astronaut Alan Shepard Jr. became the first American to enter space riding aboard Mercury-Redstone 3, going by the callsign "Freedom 7". This model is made to scale of the real Mercury-Redstone Launch Vehicle with a fair amount of detail.
Would be nice if modelled geometry were used in place of some of the subsurf modifiers (subsurf makes files smaller but also slower to work with), also would be nice if available in internal as well as cycles (but for this file converting wasn't too hard and texture maping survived this conversion well). Other that those two little criticisms (and note that the first isn't always a bad thing anyway), brilliant.
