Wooden Sign Animation

Note that the text on the sign in the animation is not included in the blend file, it is merely there to give an idea of what can be done with this sign.

A simple animation where a wooden sign hanging from a rope is lowered from above, swings back and forth for a while, then is raised back up out of view. By default, this animation takes 900 frames. The animation is all physics-driven using rigid bodies.

You may add an image overlay to the sign, or parent 3d objects such as text to it.

Changing the animation of the peg will cause the sign to react differently - you can use this to change the overall length of the animation, or the amount of swing the sign has. The sign's material is a procedural wood texture so the sign can be reshaped however is needed (just keep the holes and the top in the same place or the ropes wont look right). The material also has a lot of settings for tweaking, or to give it an entirely different type of wood (or just retexture it with an image if you wish).
