I've decided for my first rig to use a model I released a few years back when I started using Blender. I've remade the model in cycles this time, and used a few textures created by CgAlpha. Below are references to those shaders. I've made a few changes and added some details to this character, and is fully rigged and animation-ready, as I will be using it for my first animation project. Any constructive criticism is always appreciated, and enjoy!

This is the tutorial with which I've learned how to rig characters, as I'm new to it all, and haven't had much time to use Blender the last year and a bit:
Blender Tutorial: Basics of Character Rigging by Sebastian Lague https://youtu.be/cGvalWG8HBU
Great job!!! Thank you, I like the rig, I like how the arms move in its axis, it's fantastic.
This was a masterpiece. I am really bad at rigging and animating moving figures like humans (and robots) and such. I have a question regarding this. Was that rigging tutorial all you needed to rig this robot? This rig is amazing. Also, do you know where i can learn how to animate properly and smoothly?
Thank you for your feedback! The video tutorial was all I did use for the rigging, aside from a very few tweaks in the end. I'm just beginning to learn to properly rig/animate myself, but if I do find some good sources I'll leave you a message! Cheers and happy blending!
Ray2015 outstanding work.
