This is a test render from a movie i plan to make when i get a better computer but considering it took 5 hrs to render just this one frame it will have to wait hope you enjoy
I know your pain, it takes me about 12 hrs to make one frame, I've recently finished rendering 10 sec of animation which took me 4 months. I've even posted it here at blendswap. My advice: set your renders at your sleep time, like i did :) Good luck!
BTW Looks good, what is it going to be about? Looks like some kind of furry character in a sci-fi lab or some kind of submarine mess.
5 friends diving off the Barrier Reef find a sunken space ship and salvage her, to find adventures in space. Probably going to be very episodic, but I think it is going to be cool anyway.
I tried to draw a scene. It's terribly slow. Optimization is necessary. Fur requires a series of computers connected to the render farm. Have you heard of the depilation? 1000-dollar graphic cards draw the scene only 3 times faster. Here is a video
the best GPU for Blender?
Did you see 12 Principles of Animation?
Hey nice scify scene. By the way, I recommend using a render farm for animations greater than 5 seconds.
Any chance you could please link us to the movie you're making? This looks like something I would definitely like to see.
for a second there I thought you said it took 5 years to render that one image LOL
