This file includes the following maps:
_d - Diffuse _m - Metallic _r - Roughness _n - Normal
Best used in the Cycles renderer preferably with the Principled Shader. Diffuse and Glossy Shader work too, where you have to use the "track_m" map as the factor of the mix shader.
Textures are from Textures.com
Really? I've taken a look at the Textures.com FAQ and it they say otherwise:
"May I use these textures for free? Do I need to pay royalties?
Yes, the textures may be used for free in 2D or 3D computer graphics, movies, printed media, computer games and 3D models. When bundled with a 3D model or scene you are allowed to sell it as a package."
And also the following passage:
"I have used the textures on a 3D model/scene. Am I allowed to sell the model/scene and textures as a bundle?
Yes, under the following condition: You have customized the textures for the 3D-model or scene, and you are selling the model and texture in one package. Please add the following text in the documentation accompanying the model: 'One or more textures on this 3D-model have been created with images from Textures.com. These images may not be redistributed by default. Please visit www.textures.com for more information.'"
And last but not least do I want to mention that the textures were modified as you can see if you reverse search for them. I'm not even selling it, I'm putting it up for free and the textures are baked into different maps. I'm not redistributing the textures themselves.
They explicitely do not allow the use of their textures in open source work, no matter what.
I copied this from the FAQ on this site. "Can I use CGTextures.com files in my swapped blends?
NO. CGTextures.com, as with majority of free-of-price (or paid-for) texture assets providers, allows neither redistribution of their files nor Creative Commons sub-licensing of their materials. You can not distribute even heavily modified versions of the textures they provide, as stated in their licensing policy.
While you can (and should) keep using their services for your private and commercial work, you must avoid using them for assets you share anywhere because this is a violation of their re-distribution policy.
Please make sure to read and understand other sites licensing policies before using their services and even attempting to use them in your blends onÃÂ Blend SwapÃÂ and other sites."
