Use procedural texture (Cycles) for eye, no UV unwrap, no lose texture file, easy change color. Axis for eye is around z axis for UV sphere eye and disk eye (texture appear on both -z and +z side). Can change eye size by change value in multiply math node and shift light reflection in add nodes. 4 colors example. I create it for my flying car characters in short open animation Xe Bay.
