Canette (Allegory of Continents), Nuremberg, circa 1600, after a model by Caspar Enderlein (1560 - 1633), tin. Musee du Cinquantenaire (Brussels, Belgium). Made with ReMake and ReCap Pro from AutoDesk.
The tin potters of Nuremberg will, following Francois Briot and Caspar Enderlein, launch the production of ceremonial and essentially decorative tableware. They are often dishes and plates commemorative, decorated with the equestrian portrait of the Germanic emperors or illustrated religious themes. They were offered at important events in public and private life.
