A setup / proof of concept blend that allows you to paint with automatic dithering
There are 4 main variables: Dither pattern, Resolution (should match your img resolution), Bit-Depth, Color Palette.
While it's not the main purpose of this blend, you can input any texture in the "paint" slot to get a dithered result, it is expecting a monochrome input tho
This is really cool! Basically you can paint in Blender and have it become something resembeling pixel art! The only thing I would love is if you could add an RGB color recognition as I could not manage to mix the pallet so show the correct color used.
