A modified version of my toon assembly line robot.
Modifications:
all parts remodeled, some from scratch, in hard surface style with subdivision surface
a newly added grab bone with some metal plates for testing
a cleanup of the many used materials, now there are only 4 left
a cleanup of the action stripes, only one left with a basic pose
Have fun with it :-)
Hi BlendedGoop,
thank you very much for your comments.
Actually I personaly see no need currently to do a tutorial on rigging as there are great resources out there:
Actually this assembly line robot rig is based on a tutorial series by revolt_randy. You can access them here:

His channel furtherly features other great blender rigging tutorials, e.g. IK/FK switch, rigging a piston or pump jack.
A great tutorial site for beginner to intermediate character rigs in blender is blendercookie.com.
If you prefer books "Introducing Character Animation with Blender" from Tony Mullon explains everything in detail.
I love ur models!!! Do u think u could post a tutorial on how to rig in blender 2.55 beta? Id really appreciate it. Im a starting 3d animator using blender, so..... yeah. Thanks for sharing your work!
