A small sci-fi helicopter, modeled as part of a "Low-Poly in an Hour" competition. The copter doesn't have weapons, and it has only a simple moving rotor. It is less than 200 polys, however, so there's plenty of room for missiles, etc. without placing too much stress on your CPU.
The textures I hand-painted from scratch in GIMP, with CC photo reference. You won't run into any nasty legal problems if you try to use it in your game.
@sourcerror: I have a tutorial in the works. As a quick tip, I paint scratches using the Acrylic and Chalk brushes in GIMP in "Screen" mode over a metal texture, with baked AO set to multiply over the whole thing. Details are photo reference again; paint is done using the "Sample Merged" feature of the Paint Bucket tool.
It's perfect for RTS games. Do you have some texturing insights to share? I like your worn metal very much as well.
"I’ll suggest this for use in LinWarrior and add it to OGA once the texturing history is clear " Or TA Spring.
