Description:

I made these materials because I wanted a hand drawn outlined look, but Blender's built in tool, Freestyle, was too taxing on my little Mac. This a faster alternative.

There is an EEVEE and Cycles material. The Eevee material only works in Eevee, the Cycles material works in both. As the outline is related to the size and faces of an object, you may need to create a new material and adjust the position of the black "pin" in the first slider for smaller objects. It should be pretty clear when looking at the nodes.

The materials are obviously customizable and there are a few different variations already in the project.

CC-0 so do whatever your heart desires. As long as it's legal.

These line art materials are a fantastic resource! Capturing that clean, outlined style without the heavy load of Freestyle is a huge win. The finished look really reminds me of how crisp the lines are on things like coloring pages at Disegnidacoloraremondo.com. Thanks for providing this faster alternative!

These line art assets are incredibly useful! Being able to achieve a sharp, outlined look without relying on the heavier Freestyle setup is a major advantage. The final results feel just as clean and precise as the line work you see on coloring pages from AZboyama.com. Thanks for sharing such an efficient and time-saving option!

This is a fantastic model, thanks for sharing the blend file! The details are impressive and will look great when rendered. I’ve been using coloring pages at YoloColoring.com to practice color theory and get texture ideas lately, and this mesh looks like it would be really fun to experiment with different materials on!
